Connecting the app to an on-premise Hyland OnBase server


Xerox® Scanning App for OnBase has the ability to connect to Hyland OnBase on-premise servers. To do so:

  1. Ensure that your Hyland OnBase server API can be accessed externally, which will allow Scanning App for OnBase’s services to connect to your on-prem instance.
  2. When installing Scanning App for OnBase, you’ll be prompted to enter your Hyland OnBase application server URL. This should end with .asmx and may include a custom port. App Gallery Configuration will also ask for the Hyland OnBase data source, license name, and SNMP community string of the Xerox device you’re installing the app on.
  3. When installation is complete, opening the app on a device will take you to the login screen. Enter the username and password for your on-prem instance of Hyland OnBase and select OK.
